Callum will run his hands through his hair when he's stressed and out of doors. When it's a long-term stress, Callum often ends up compulsively cleaning everything around him to keep busy and try to calm his nerves. This is particularly strange considering he doesn't come off as the type to care about cleanliness. He often has an easy smile on his face, but when he's talking to someone, he has a tendency to hide his smile behind his hand by propping his chin on his thumb and putting his index finger in front of his mouth. It doesn't completely hide his smile, though, particularly as he has dimples.

Callum's heart skipped a beat as the knob turned and the keeper suddenly expected, wished, feared that Ella wouldn't be the one to open that door. Instead it would be Hera, Dasha, Killian, Gemma, Ella's brother (did Ella have a brother? He wasn't sure, but if she did, he'd be there), working with their teammate/ex-girlfriend/enemy/sister-from-a-dimension-where-he-may-not-exist playing a prank which would undoubtedly be in the daily prophet in the morning.

Then the door opened, and Ella Davenport was standing there in a dress that the first descriptor to pop into his head for was 'sinful', and the second was 'unbelievably hot', the third thing to pop into his head was something he would never repeat nor admit even to himself, and the fourth was him mentally chastising himself. He was so caught up in that dress - figuratively, of course - and his own thoughts, that he actually jumped when Ella's lips brushed his cheek.

Looking towards her face, he met her eyes and smiled. He was such an embarrassment. "Hey, Ella," he said in an attempt of casualty that failed before it left his lips. He should lock himself in the house to prevent further secondhand embarrassment being forced on the world. It took all his self control to not groan at his own awful reactions.

Then, finally Ella's double-edged complement registered to him, and pulled him out of his own awkward thoughts. He didn't know girls, or dates, but he did know Ella, and his response jumped to his lips, indignant Slytherin as he was. "Excuse you? Clean up good? I don't know who you've been seeing, but I always look damn fine." Amazing how he could swear without batting an eye, he'd gotten black out drunk and he had a satanist tattoo, but sex? That was sin. He'd be the first to admit the logic didn't make sense, but it was how he felt. "I didn't realize you actually had curves under your quidditch robes, though."

Despite his young age, Ryan has been hardened from years in the gang. He has a number of scars, the most notable being a precise V on his chest, slightly raised and paler than the rest of his skin - a brand from his childhood. He is lean, but not for lack of muscle. Ryan is strong and flexible, more able to handle himself in a fight than the average citizen, even if he's unarmed. That said, he does carry weapons on him at all times.

Ryan holds a strong resemblance to his father, though most people won't recognize it as the two men are from very different worlds. All the same, were the two standing beside one another, the resemblance would be unmistakable. They both have the same hair, eyes, and skin tone; they're both muscular, though Ryan is moreso. Ryan has a few more scars, and while Aaron almost never gets down and dirty, Ryan is almost always doing just that, leaving Aaron looking cleaner. Their choice of clothing, however, couldn't be more different, with Aaron buying quality clothing that looks the part - dress shirts and slacks, expensive leather jackets - and Ryan wearing whatever he can easily get his hands on, usually cheap t-shirts and tank tops with jeans. The one thing of Ryan's that is good quality and clearly taken care of is his shoes, which are typically boots. He doesn't mess around with his feet (he's just not into that).

STRENGTHS:

• Resourceful. Mostly because he had to, Ryan learned early on how to make the best of a bad situation.
  
• Stubborn. Ryan doesn't give up easily. While it might be better for him in the short term to stay down when he's told to, he's the type to get up and keep fighting until he can't anymore, or until a better course of action presents itself.
  
• Physical strength. Due to his work outs, Ryan is strong, and it benefits him a lot in fights, where he can move himself out of the way, or hit harder. He's skilled at hand-to-hand and his specialty is turning someone's weapon back on them.
  
• Loyal. Those close to him earn Ryan's loyalty, which is the only thing that will cause Ryan to make a move that isn't the absolute best for him. The people he trusts (and some he doesn't, exactly) can trust him, despite his flaws. Though he may not be straight with them, he will always do what is in the best interest of those he cares about and owes his loyalty to.
  
• Quick witted. Ryan is great at thinking on his feet, and it doesn't take long for him to morph a plan to unexpected events.
  

WEAKNESSES:

• Temper. Like most of the men in his family, Ryan has an explosive temper, though fortunately his isn't exacerbated by alcoholism, it hasn't exactly been discouraged by his lifestyle.
  
• Ambition. In that he has too much of it. If something is good for him or his sister in the long run, Ryan will sacrifice his desires and happiness to get out from the rut he's been in most his life.
  
• Holds grudges. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" is a phrase Ryan takes to heart. If you stab him in the back, you will not regain his trust, and any form of loyalty he felt will be gone.
  
• Dishonest. Ryan lies, on a near pathological level. He'll say what he has to to get what he needs, to the point of pretending to be something he isn't. This includes lying to those closest to him if it's for the best interest of everyone involved.
  
• Fiercely independent. The one thing he hates almost as much as betrayal is owing someone, and it's incredibly difficult for Ryan to ask a favor of anyone unless they already owed him one. Ryan will often go out of his way to do things himself - that way, he knows they're done right, and he won't owe anyone anything.
  

QUIRKS & HABITS:

Holds his head high, and meets everyone in the eyes. Ryan doesn't back down from a challenge. When talking with someone at a table, he'll steeple his fingers or twine them together - especially if he's stressed. He's a light sleeper in the extreme and even faint noises wake him up at night; he sleeps with a knife under his pillow. On the rare occasions he gets embarrassed, he'll raise a hand to his forehead as though trying to hide his face.

OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:

To those on the outside, Ryan is taking his new position as one of the most powerful men in King Pierce very seriously - that or he was made for the job. He's serious, and doesn't take slights lightly. Breaking the law of the land - as written by the Advocates - results in steep punishments, though more minor infractions, particularly by those on the younger end of the scale, will come with lighter punishments. It's not uncommon for Ryan to let someone else handle things, busy as he is holding the group together. It's clear that Ryan - or at least, someone close to him - has a soft spot, since when it comes to infractions by those under the Advocates' protection, the punishment will be followed by real help to solve the issue behind the infraction. There is no denying it's a smart move, though, as it creates both an understanding that the rules cannot be broken and that they can be trusted to help the people in King Pierce.

Those close to him see a very different side of the man, and when he feels he can truly relax, Ryan is a humorous man who has a weak spot for the underdogs. He's cheerful enough, though he's also prone to melancholy. They might think the explosive temper he has as the Devil of King Pierce is simply an act, since when he's in those calm situations, it rarely has reason to appear. In fact, his temper is a deep-rooted part of him, though he tries to reel it in. It can lead to bouts of violence that he didn't think through.
